Meet Chris Harrison

Chris was born and raised in Greenville County, attending high school at Riverside High School and college at Clemson University. Chris married his high school sweetheart, Katie Van Gieson Harrison, and together they have two beautiful children, Duke and Penelope. Together, they attend Covenant United Methodist Church.

Chris has previously served on the City of Greer Planning Commission, Greenville County Planning Commission, the YMCA Judson Community Center Board, and as an Executive Leadership Team Member for the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball in Greenville. Chris's professional background is in the commercial real estate industry, where he has experience in zoning, land use, valuation, and development. Chris is currently VP of Investor Relations and Shareholder with Dunean Capital Management, a regional real estate investment firm. Chris is serving his first term in office. Representing his hometown is held to his highest regard and he is excited to serve the citizens of District 21 and Greenville County. Mr. Harrison currently serves on the Finance Committee, Vice Chairman of the Planning and Development Committee, and Chairman of the Communication and Government Affairs Committee.

Chris and Katie have devoted much of their adult lives to serving others. Chris previously served on the Greenville County Planning and Development Board, as the Chair of the Board for the Greenville Heart Ball where he and Katie raised over 1 Million Dollars to raise awareness for heart-related health issues. Chris and Katie’s heart for service has given them both a special perspective on the issues all of the citizens of Greenville County face.
